Dining al fresco is the new norm. San Diego has quickly adapted, and what better city to enjoy the dining experience outdoors! So many scenic views, throughout the city. You have your choice of the Pacific Ocean, Downtown Skyline, City Life, and Mountain Views. Check out my go-to spots around town!

LITTLE ITALY

Little Italy is one of my favorite neighborhoods to dine outdoors. India street has many great restaurant options. The street is blocked off from street traffic, which allows almost all of the restaurants to set up for outdoor street-dining. One almost feels like they are in Italy.

My go-to is Barbusa.

Not only is the food phenomenal, but hands down the best hospitality you will find. A couple must get items: squash blossoms, yellowtail crude topped with potato and truffle oil, tarturfo pasta, and the house red blend.

rovino.jpg

Rustic Italian Cuisine.

Rovino has exceptional service, and an atmosphere that makes you feel like you are dining in Tuscany. The whole roasted chicken is cooked to perfection, seasoned and crisp. When fully operational, Rovino also offers hosted wine dinners. It is such a great experience, and can’t wait to enjoy the in house wine dinners again. For now, the Rovino patio space is perfect for a night out in Little Italy.

NORTH PARK

This area is one of the city’s most diverse pockets. Hipsters, young professionals, and students hang out in this trendy community.

EAST VILLAGE

My weekend
go-to!

Holy Matcha is Matcha lattes, avocado egg toast with lemon pepper/chili flakes, waffles topped with fresh fruit, and fresh flowers... What else do you need to get your morning off to a wonderful start? It’s beautifully designed! It is inspired by travels to Japan and Paris. The chic cafe has a pink theme, accented with artistically placed botanicals, brass, , and unique wallpaper. Holy Matcha has pivoted and set up a fun outdoor patio space with plants and pink seating. This is my go-to spot to refuel between my weekend home showings.

A little something for everyone!

Madison on Park provides a well-rounded menu partnered with refreshing craft cocktails makes for a great night. favorite. The Motor Bike cocktail is my top pick! So many delicious choices on the menu, it’s hard to pick one favorite. These are a few of the options that I recommend- Skirt Steak with Chimichurri, Crab Gnocchi, and the Center Cut Pork Chop.

PACIFIC BEACH

PB is a relaxed neighborhood by the beach, popular with sunbathers and surfers. Trendy hotel bars and casual cafes line the boardwalk, while Mission Boulevard and the surrounding streets are dotted with women’s clothing boutiques, yoga studios and casual drinking spots that draw a young, bar-hopping crowd.

fishshop.jpg

Fresh seafood caught and served daily!

PB Fish Shop is a laid back, easy-going, restaurant with beach vibes reflective of San Diego’s SoCal spirit. The Fish Shop Garlic Butter Lobster Tacos are the perfect choice to enjoy a warm day near the beach. I enjoy numerous items off the menu, but nothing has beaten the lobster tacos. Located just blocks from the beach, Fish Shop has turned its parking lot into an outdoor restaurant. Enjoy the good vibes and outdoor seating, or grab some tacos, an ice-cold craft beer, and head on down to the ocean.

Make sure to make reservations at all!

Enjoy and cheers!
